Wiki & Forum
The GEK project is an experiment in collaborative science and open source engineering. GEK collaborators are working together to advance the science of gasification, as well as the engineering solutions to implement it meaningfully. The GEKforum is where we gather regularly to discuss the problems and iterate the solutions. The GEKwiki is where we organize the results into a permanent knowledge base of “what works and how to do it”.
GEK collaborators come to the project from all over the world. They come with every imaginable type of gasification project, fuel to use and desired run scenario. Most are more than willing to share their knowledge and experience, help you to get up and running quickly, then refine things as your needs require. We, the GEK community, are the expert consultants you don’t have to pay a fortune to be at your site and secretly implement proprietary solutions. Instead, we’ll show you how to do-it-yourself, at costs tolerable for an individual scale power project. No government stimulus package or utility-scale intervention required.
We encourage you to join us, learn, and ask questions. Enjoy the assembled expertise, interesting characters, and hard content as deep as you want to dig. If confusion temps, remember, a gasifier is much easier than a computer, and most everyone seems to have figured those out OK . . .
