Oak briquette calorific value

Hello

Do oak briquettes produce more heat than oak logs and if so, what is the approximate calorific value of briquettes when compared to logs?

Many thanks in advance.

Briquettes because of the moisture content around 6% are hotter than logs, which are around 25-30% moisture and not as compact ( extruded briquettes have the lignin melted, as a binder, of the cellulose ).John O Cree Industries
